Originally constructed in 1940, Cell Block, was a one-story building that housed the Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department with a second story added in the 1950s. In the 1980s forward, it served as the Town's Police Station when a concrete-block was added to the right with jail cells manufactured by Paul Jail Company (https://www.paulyjail.com/legacy) likely in the mid-1800s and repurposed by the Town. This particular unit also features an exposed plexi wall showing the building's various history from 1940 forward, including artifacts discover during renovation.
