Welcome to NAS Corpus Christi
NAS Corpus Christi is the home to naval pilot training and has been since 1941. It houses the Chief of Naval Air Training (CNTRA) and oversees training operations throughout the Southeast Region, from Texas to Florida. Under CNATRA's command are five training air wings, including the Blue Angels precision flying team. Several other tenant commands are also located at the base of which the largest is the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), the largest helicopter repair facility in the world.

NAS Corpus Christi is located on the southeast side of the city. The base is about six miles south of the central business district and is protected by Padre Island and Mustang Island. These barrier islands offer a host of unique things to do, including fantastic fishing. The city is just three hours from the infamous South Padre Island. San Antonio is about two and a half hours north of Corpus Christi, with Austin about three hours away and Houston three and a half.
