Creech Air Force Base is home to the Air Force's 432d Wing, which has six operational squadrons, one maintenance squadron, and MQ-9 Reapers and the MQ-1 Predator unmanned aerial vehicle which is used regularly in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. The base is the aerial demonstration training site for the AF's precision flying team "Thunderbirds". Creech AFB is located about 45 miles northwest of Nellis AFB with daily shuttles between the two and the sharing of some base services.
