Coast Guard New Orleans Housing:

Privatized military housing is available in the New Orleans area at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Belle Chasse, LA and at The Village at Federal City in Algiers, LA,  location of the former Naval Support Activity New Orleans. The Coast Guard Command Center is located in in the central business district of New Orleans, about 5 miles southeast of Metairie, in the Lower Garden District neighborhood of the city of New Orleans.  About 5 miles east of the Command Center, lies USCG Sector Headquarters New Orleans, at Algiers Point on the Lower Mississippi River in New Orleans.  About 13 miles to the east, is Coast Guard Base New Orleans.   As well, about 12 miles south of the Coast Guard Command Center, lies the New Orleans Naval Station (NAS JRB New Orleans).
