Holloman AFB is located in New Mexico's Tularosa Basin between the Sacramento and San Andreas mountain ranges. The base lies approximately 10 miles west of Alamogordo, N.M., 70 miles east of Las Cruces, N.M., and 90 miles north of El Paso Texas.  To the east of the base, within 30 miles or so, lies the city of Cloudcroft, NM.
