We purchased this home when assigned to Redstone Arsenal in 2011. We purchased this home from the builder who lived in it. There are no two homes alike in our residential subdivision as they were built by different builders over a period of about 30 years. A number of retired military live in our development. My brother-in-law was an Air Force weather officer at the time and provided us a map of tornado tracks since 1950 when records began being kept. We selected this home as it lies in an area of extremely low, to non-existent tornado tracks compared to other local areas. It is semi-rural, lying in-between the towns of Hazel Green, Meridianville and New Market, north of Huntsville, Alabama. Our housing development (“Timber Winds IV”) was a cultivated farm field years ago. The property back yard faces out to large cultivated fields that are rotated with different crops annually. It is a 25 minute drive to Redstone Arsenal. The development is quiet and because we are on a dead-end street, motor traffic is low. The very rural Madison County’s Sharon Johnson public park is about five miles away. The park has a small lake and numerous areas for younger children to play. Across the road north of the park is the county swimming pool and a small arms and skeet/trap range. The Madison County landfill is about 5 miles away. Trash pickup is every Tuesday. Recycle is picked-up the fourth Monday of the month. Termite certificate is transferrable and pest control service is local. The home is located in a low-crime area.

General Notes
Home is located off of east-west Charlie Patterson Road that turns into Steger Road continuing west to Hwy 431 (four lane north-south state highway from Fayetteville, Tennessee to Huntsville, Alabama). The development has no association fees. Golden Harvest has about 40 homes on it and ends in a cul-de-sac. There is one side street with about 8 homes (“Dixieland Drive”).
